Karen’s work as a Project Manager is fueled by her background as an artist and illustrator, educator, and entrepreneur. She has run her own businesses for more than 8 years and has worked in education for over 20. Through her company, Studio Light Illustration, she became well-versed in guiding clients through the often tedious process of creating and self-publishing their children’s books. She has also led an alternative school, built training programs, and is a trained facilitator and executive function coach, with skills and tools for planning, prioritizing, and keeping complex work moving.
Karen holds a Master’s degree in Cultural Management from City University, a BFA from Xavier University, and multiple coaching certificates. She loves being involved in the creative life of her community, traveling, and skating.
