Darion A. Lee brings over eight years of hands-on experience in live entertainment construction to his role as Design Engineer at Working Studio. With a background rooted in carpentry and drafting, Darion has experience in nearly every aspect of the industry —starting on the shop floor and advancing to oversee complex scenic projects across theatrical venues, cruise ships, and museums. His deep understanding of each role on a project enables him to lead with both empathy and efficiency, ensuring high-quality results while optimizing timelines and budgets. His specialties include AutoCAD drafting, client communications, project planning, and training development, all backed by a strong technical foundation and a collaborative leadership style.
Darion’s passion lies in the creative problem-solving that scenic design demands. He especially enjoys the drafting and design phases of each project, where he can flex his creative muscles and collaborate closely with clients to bring imaginative ideas to life. Outside of work, Darion continues designing and building—often 3D printing custom household items or crafting furniture with his partner. A lover of the outdoors, he spends his summers camping and staying active in nature. Darion is also committed to ongoing growth, with plans to continue sharpening both his technical skills and his professional presence.
