The Project
The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis has launched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: The Exhibit, the first-ever Disney Jr. museum exhibit inspired by the beloved television series. This interactive, traveling exhibition invites young visitors to assist Mickey and friends in planning a surprise birthday celebration for Pluto.
As part of the Laughing Loft section of the exhibition, Working Studio was commissioned to design and fabricate a custom interactive ball wall, resulting in the whimsical Professor Von Drake Bubble Machine. This engaging experience features three distinct interactive sections, each challenging children to apply problem-solving skills and Mouseketools to generate a bubble solution and guide the “bubbles” through the mechanical gears of the machine. The design encourages hands-on exploration, critical thinking, and collaboration, enriching the exhibit with dynamic STEM-based learning opportunities.
