The Project

Working Studio developed five custom interactive components for the Muncie Children’s Museum to create visitor engagement in their train gallery and highlight their existing model train exhibit. These hands-on installations provide educational and immersive experiences that encourage exploration of the railway world through fun, tactile learning opportunities.

Interactives included a “Sort the Cargo” puzzle where visitors learn logistical concepts to match different types of cargo to the appropriate train car. “Whistle Talk” teaches guests about the meanings of different train horn signals and allows them to replicate specific messages. Additionally, visitors can “Build A Train” by spinning a randomizer wheel and using problem-solving skills to recreate the given configuration of train cars.
