The Project

Big John, the world’s largest Triceratops fossil, measuring an impressive 26 feet in length, is currently on loan to the Glazer Children’s Museum in Tampa, FL. In this immersive exhibit, visitors can crawl beneath the towering skeleton and peer up through transparent observation domes for a one-of-a-kind, close-up view. Families are invited to engage in hands-on activities such as reconstructing a triceratops skeleton with a wall-mounted puzzle, creating and animating their own dinosaur drawings, and testing their weight against Big John’s massive skull.

Working Studio played a key role in fabricating the robust stage that supports Big John’s skeleton along with its viewing domes. Additionally, we designed an interactive triceratops puzzle, a cozy exploration space for toddlers, and custom display cases that showcase archaeological artifacts, making the exhibit both educational and engaging for all ages.
