The Project
When M. Catton & Co. and Sleet Custom Cabinets approached us to recreate the iconic Alamo Wall from John Wayne’s legendary 1960 film The Alamo, we knew it was a project that called for precision and craftsmanship. To bring this piece of cinematic history to life for the John Wayne Birthplace and Museum, we started with a sturdy plywood base, expertly covering it in foam that was meticulously hand-carved to capture the fine details of the original wall.
To ensure both durability and authenticity, we applied a protective hardcoat that not only safeguarded the structure but also replicated the rugged texture of the actual Alamo. Once complete, our team skillfully theme-painted the surface to match the look and feel of the original movie set, creating a stunning reproduction that evokes the spirit of the legendary film.
The result is a faithful recreation of a piece of Hollywood history, blending artistry and craftsmanship to transport viewers back to the iconic moments of The Alamo.
