The Project
Working Studio teamed up with Kraemer Design and Production and the Mississippi Children’s Museum to bring to life the exciting, interactive exhibits for the brand-new Mississippi Children’s Museum – Meridian. Designed to spark a lifelong love of learning, the museum offers immersive, hands-on experiences that focus on literacy, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math), and health and wellness.
Among the standout exhibits we crafted are:
Maggie the Steel Magnolia Robot – An interactive robot who welcomes visitors with a smile, poses for photos, and adds a touch of fun as children begin their museum adventure.
Key Brothers Plane Refueling Station – As part of the “Around My Town” Flight Exhibit, this station lets visitors test their skills by refueling a plane mid-air, blending excitement with education on aviation history.
Best Brain Day – In this dynamic tilt-table game, guests navigate through good and bad choices, which trigger a plasma screen displaying animated synaptic nerves of the brain. Visitors discover how everyday decisions impact brain development and health, offering a fun way to learn about wellness.
Kayak Adventure – As part of the Camp Bonita exhibit, this double kayak interactive lets visitors paddle along the scenic Chunky River, encouraging healthy lifestyle habits through active, outdoor play.
Each exhibit is designed to inspire curiosity, encourage healthy habits, and make learning an unforgettable experience.
