The Project

Working Studio partnered with M. Catton & Co. to create an interactive mining exhibit for the Kirby Science Discovery Center at Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls, SD. The Quarry Dig area guides visitors through the process of mining stones for building materials, starting with blowing up a quartzite cliff all the way to transporting the rocks from the site. Children love putting on their hard hats and have a great time “working” and learning at the same time!
